The Nightson of Dathomir:

The Nightsisters of Dathomir are well known for their mysterious ways, living in isolation on the dark and ominus world of Dathomir, the different covens of the Nightsisters hold dominion over all on the planet. Here the males are subservient to the females, the men who are of the Zabrak species live in their own communes where they train vigorously to strengthen their bodies for the wishes of the sisters.

For Dathomir is a world in reverse for some cultures, the women hold dominion over men, where power and strength both physical and mental are prized among the males. For on other worlds the women are
more open with relations, depenant on the culture of course, one can either marry for love or for arrangement. But the Nightsisters of Dathomir do not believe in such ideals, they instead see the males as their subordinates and who must be chosen carefully for the right to produce offspring. The Sisters would travel to the Nightbrother settlement and test all those present seeking out the one they deem the most worthy for the purpose of mating.

The Nightsisters do not marry, nor do they hold any love beyond that of their fellow sisters, if one is born a daughter of Dathormir then they are raised by their mother and the other sisters, if born a male they are sent to join the other males where they are to be honed into strong warriors.

All Nightsisters are noted for their strange connection to the Force, or in their words Magicks, where they perform a series of incantations and rituals to produce the energy that is the dark side of the force. While none know exactly how or when the Nightsisters came to be there are many stories around them, from being the first to domesticate the mighty Rancor creatures and even ride them as war beasts.

Other stories tell of them reanimating the bodies of the dead in order to fight any would be invader, claiming "When you face one Nighsister of Dathomir, you face us all". It proves harder and harder at times to recognise which stories are fact and which are merely tales spread to make people fear them and stay away from their home.

Yet One story is recognised for it difference and even hypocrisy among the Nightsisters, it is the tale of the Nightson.

No one knows exactly when the tale began of the Nightson, as the Nightsisters have rarely left their homeworld and travelled the stars. For the planet of Dathomir is the source of their potent Magicks and so to travel from it is seen as an afront to the clans unless the journey is in service of their sisters. But the tale of the Nightson is somewhat known to those who sought to learn of the strange customs of the sisters, the tale is one of danger but also hope.

According to the Prophecy,

"Heed these words sisters of Dathormir... for one day shall a Son be Born... born of Night who shall bare the mark of Dathomirs light

And in his hands shall the future behold... a Son of Dathomir... who shall decide our fates... for one or none.... he shall be our salvation...

But remember... for he also may be our Destruction"

The tale is held very close to Dathomirian culture with both genders knowing the prophecy of the Night Son, many feared the prophecy as it was clear in its point that the one chosen to be the Nightson would either save the Nightsisters but also could bring about their destruction. And since the idea of a male holding the future in their hands was an added insult for the Nightsisters, giving rise to the greater fear that the Nightson would lead some kind of rebellion among the Nightbrothers against their clans.

Yet for thousands of years nothing came of the prophecy yet it was always within the minds of the Mothers who lead the clans, each and every time a son was born. That was until 17 years before the outbreak of the Clone wars, for one night as the moon was at its darkest, a son was born among the Nightsisters, a son with the peculiar birth marking upon their arm.

Although concerned at the sudden appearance of a mark, the Mothers of the Nigthsister clans remembered the words of the prophecy. "For one or none he shall be our salvation but remember for he also may be our destruction"

There were always fears among the Nightsisters of something challenging their supremacy of Dathomir or endanger their magicks. So when the son with the mark was born, no one sure what to do, there were opinions of some to have the child killed and end the prophecy before it could begin. But then it was reminded by one who was very wise, that the prophecy wasn't solely about destruction but hope as well, so it was decided that the child would be allowed to live.

But unlike all other males born on Dathomir, he would not be sent away to live among the Nightbrothers, instead he would remain with the sisters and learn their ways. This was unheard of, as the ancient forms of magick and powers held by the Nightsisters of Dathomir was always a closely guarded secret that was only passed on to daughters.

Overtime however it was becoming evidently clear that the son of Dathomir who had the red sun mark upon his body was exceeding the expectations of the Nightsisters. He would swiftly learn the lessons being given to him and was often surpassing Nightsisters of the same age and generation, this however merely fuelled the fears surrounding the child. On one morning though he managed to sneak out of the village in which he lived only to end up lost in the Dathomirian Jungle.

During his time lost, he encountered a giant Rancor creature which bellowed out at seeing the young one, seeing only a meal for it to sate its hunger.

But instead the child returned to the Village, riding upon the beast and the Sisters were in shock for he had tamed a beast well known to them, a Dathormirian Rancor that was renowned among the Nightsisters for its savagery and for being untamable. Yet here was a young child who had done just that, the fears surrounding him soon evaporated away and the Covens chose to accept him more graciously.

Soon the Nightsoon was being raised like one of their own, but then one day during his teenage years, he experienced a vision of his own. He explained that whilst wandering alone in the village he was faced with a ghostly smoke figure that spoke to him, telling him that if he was to fulfil the prophecy surrounding him then he must leave Dathomir else the Fires shall claim him too.

Understanding that the vision was a warning for him, the Mother of their clan decided that for his own safety and to ensure that the Prophecy one way or the other may come true, the son of Dathomir must leave. Upon his 21st year of life, as a great war taw a rift across the galaxy in what would become known as the Clone Wars, the Son was gifted a series of enchanted items to protect him on his travels.

The first was a suit of armour bless by potent magics to protect him from any that would wish to do him harm, this armour would not only protect him physically but also spiritually defending him from the manipulations of the words of others. It gave him greater strength and speed with his movements thus as said keeping him safe. He was given two blades for his own use as weapons, these blades could be changed and shifted, when not in use they appeared to be little more than Daggers, but when used with the Magic of the Nightsisters, they could become any weapon he needed them to be, an axe, a spear, a sword.

Prepared and ready, he was secreted off world and into the Outer Rim, where he would travel endlessly without any clear goal beyond living and surviving. For several months he travelled the length of the Hydian way, never staying in one place for too long for anyone to notice him. He performed odd jobs that felt nausiating for him due to his heritage and abilities, but he remembered the words of the Nightmother who wished him to go on this journey "As long as you survive so do does the prophecy".

Eventually while working a scrap job on Mimban he overheard people talking, the Separatists had launched an assault on Dathomir and wiped out the Nightsister clans. Not wishing it to be true, the son who went by the name, Datun, took what credits he had and purchased a small outdated fighter, a Toscan 8-Q starfighter to be exact. He took it and went straight home to Dathomir, only to find the village in which he had grown up in ruins, his sisters all murdered among the countless Droids.

No one knows exactly what happened following this, some say the Nightson, Datun went into hiding, others say he rallied a force of Nightbrothers and swore revenge. And others say he died, yet rumours continue to persist of a mysterious assassin who uses strange abilities and powers to sneak around the Galaxy eliminating any whom he is hired to kill.

During the age of the Empire, this assassin became even more secretive, with some believing he never really existed. The came more rumours, a Nightsister had been seen wandering the galaxy. Wielding blade that seemed to change when she wanted it too.

The Imperial Sovereignty:

The Birth of the Imperial Sovereignty can be traced back to the very founding of the Galactic Empire, but would not come into true existence until the aftermath of the Battle of Endor when the Empire fragmented into different Remnant Faction. Each with their own goal.

The power of the Galactic Empire was not absolute, Yes the Emperor Sheev Palpatine held dominion over everyone within the Empire, none dared to challenge him. At least not from within Imperial Ranks, but across the galaxy, various governors and officers from the Imperial Ranks ensured that the galaxy remained secure for the Empire.

In the Outer Rim Grand Moff Tarkin held power second only to the Emperor, he governed the Outer Rim with an iron fist. But beneath him were a number of Moffs who maintained a close watch and control over certain sectors of the outer rim, ensuring that the Empire's control remained solid, the populations were kept in their place. Often these Moffs were quick to abuse their powers often performing actions that benefited themselves only, controlling the distribution of resources, allocation of manpower and positions, promotion of officers.

Even going so far into performing the "Game" where like other officers in the Imperial Ranks, were constantly playing to obtain more authority, more power, more glory. But such was a slippery slope, for often those that sort out power and glory were often the quickest to fall when failure came for them.

Little can be compared however between those that played the game and one Moff Kayl Talon and the other Moffs, Grand Moffs and admirals.

Talon formally requested a transfer to the Imperial Navy, he was granted such by Moff Tarkin who recognised the young mans clear skill in dealing with pirates and criminals. He was given command of a light cruiser and dispatched to aid in the hunting down of the remaining Separatist hold outs across the Outer Rim.

A few years later, The Imperial Admiralty on Coruscant decided to promote Talon to the Rank of Admiral for his impressive work in dealing with criminal elements and former Separatists. Grand Moff Tarkin, the Imperial Governor of the Outer Rim gave him the command of a sector fleet in the outer rim, in the very Sector where he had been stationed years prior. Eventually 16 years before the battle of Yavin, he was given the rank of Moff following the "Retirement" of the previous holder of the position. As such Talon was given the direct Governorship of the Doran Sector which sat not far from the Jedha system, on behalf of the Empire.

However this did not mean that he had it easy, most Imperials in the hierarchy often indulge in the sabotaging of their colleagues and even their allies in an effort to obtain promotion and favour with those in power. This meant using the secrets and activities of their target to sabotage them, expose their secrets to destroy their credibility, blackmail them into giving up their pursuits.

But Talon was a man that didn't really play the game, he never really performed actions that would hamper those that wanted more, but he did always protect himself from those who wanted to see him brought down or his advancement up the ladder halted. His method was simple, if they wanted his secrets then he wouldn't have any. Moff Talon played the game by ensuring that nothing could be used against him, not by eliminating those that threatened him as others would, but by simply ensuring that nothing was hidden.

He didn't hide the fact that he had undergone surgeries to implant cybernetics following an accident he experienced during his time in the navy, he didn't hide the fact that he was more liberal in his governorship of the Sector. He had forbid cruel punishments, people could not be forcibly off their land or property without compensation by the local imperial authority, Executions were set only for the most heinous crimes against the citizens of the sector, forced conscription either into Imperial Ranks or for labour was repealed.

He didn't even hide the fact that he was in a relationship with his second in command, Commodore Ria Elis.

This made it especially difficult for people who wanted his position to get ahead of him, for even though he was clearly going against certain ideologies of the Empire. The Dora Sector was becoming an peaceful and prosperous bastion for Imperial Authority in the Outer Rim, becoming a true example of the Imperial Dream and a hallmark for Imperial Propaganda. And this was all done with work, whereas other Moffs and Imperial Governors would have their troops perform actions such as ensuring that Imperial Rule remained unchallenged, Talon on the other hand instead used the resources and manpower at his disposal differently.

The Sector Fleet of five star destroyers, 8 light cruisers and 13 gonzanti transports didn't just perform the same patrol routes each and every rotation. He instead had them perform humanitarian actions, such as the ferrying of supplies between the different systems in the sector and various inhabitants. Instead of just guarding imperial ships, they would actively escort any civilian vessel along the hyperspace lanes.

Imperial Garrisons would indeed ensure the practice of law and order as expected of them, but when not required, they would undertake actions that benefited the people they were protecting. Corps of Engineers would aid or actively built facilities for the populations in their area, schools, hospitals, power stations, water filtration sites etc. This lead to a majority of the population actively supporting not the empire but Talon himself, because he always held his morality close to heart, such as when he ordered the closing of mines that were leaking hazardous waste into the air or into water. Despite the fact that a group of individuals that had lost a fortune due to his governorship of the sector began to spread rumours that Talon was amassing support for a coup against the Emperor or to secede from the Empire. The plot was foiled thanks to the investigation of the ISB and the conspirators were arrested and "Imprisoned".

Whilst other Imperials were having to deal with constant matters of disruption, revolt and rebellions, Talon and the Dora Sector did not. Since many people were comfortable and were being actively cared for then the belief of rebellion was a far off thought, even when a small rebel faction was founded in the mountains of Doran. Talon didn't behave as other Imperials did punishing the population for the actions of the rebels, he instead sent out an open message to the rebels asking for a cessation to the violence and an offer of a full pardon under his authority.

As the Galactic Civil War began to spread across the Galaxy, the Dora Sector remained one of the few places where fighting was kept to a minimum. One thing that made such possible was his advisors and aids all of whom were local individuals that were held in high esteem by the population, chief among these was Alor Venil a respected aristocrat of Doran whose family had been one most respected throughout the system for generation. With his advice on local customs, beliefs and opinions Talon was able to minimise the threat of rebel attacks as the Rebellion found it difficult to gain the support of the people in the sector.

He began discussing with his subordinates the possibility of what if the emperor was to die, after much discussion it was agreed that the likely scenario would be that the Empire would fragment into various factions and smaller states which would be more likely to fight each other than the rebellion. If that was to happen the Dora Sector would secede and establish their own independent system.

And when news spread that the Emperor was dead following the Rebel victory at Endor, Talon put his plans into action, he announced publically to the entire Sector that the Emperor was dead and that the Empire was without a leader. He detailed that the Sector was going to secede and establish their own government The Imperial Sovereignty, he gave every detail to them, that he woulda act as the Lord Sovereign, there was to be a legislative parliament that would be made up of 19 elected representatives from among the different planets within the Sector. Upon his passing, retirement or voted out of office, then the position of Lord Sovereign would be held up to an election, where the citizens of the Sovereignty would elected someone to the position.

Now before any judge him to be just another Imperial Warlord seeking to make a self imposed rule over his corner of the galaxy whilst also having to fight the rebellion and other Imperials. Talon went a step ahead, openly and without any transparency he opened talks when the rebellion formerly created the New Republic. He became the first ex Imperial to formally and publicly recognise the legitimacy of the New Republic as a successor to the Galactic Empire and the rightful governing body of the Galaxy.

During these negotiations the New Republic under Chancellor Mon Mothma decided to recognise the Imperial Sovereignty as an independent sector from the New Republic which was graciously accepted. As the new lord Sovereign, Talon began to coax more and more minor imperial factions around the Dora sector to join the sovereignty, as the infighting intensified a number of star systems willing joined mostly in the hope of getting mutual protection. By the time the New Republic had taken Coruscant, the Imperial Sovereignty was not the Bastion of the Empire it once was.

Under Talon the stormtroopers were replaced in name and in some regards uniform with the Enforcer Corps, with new armour, training, regulations and protocols. Under the direct command of a Commander Erina Quell, the stormtrooper corps were changed in all actualities, no more were they a symbol of imperial authority, they were now true, tried and tested servants of the Sovereignty. Proof of this came when a faction of Imperial Warlords attempted to seize the sector in retaliation for Talons acceptance of the New Republic.

Following this victory, several more systems requested entry into the Sovereignty, with the Parliament and Talon formerly accepting as well as entering a defensive pact with the New Republic.

The Heir of Mandalor:

Lorenz Merrick?

The last direct descendant of Mandalor the first, making him the rightful leader and ruler of the Mandalorians, not the planet of Mandalore but those who called themselves Mandalorians.

Born and raised on a little known Mandalorian Colony known as Maresk that was primarily a farming planet whose vast fields of crops and livestock provided much food to other Mandalorian Colonies. So little known was the planet that during the days of the Mandalorian Crusades and wars the planet was never even touched by both sides despite the fact that it provided support to the Crusaders.

Lorenz was the only son of his family having a younger sister called Merrisa, who was to young at the time of their mothers death to stay with him and had to remain in an orphanage.

Lorenz on the other hand remained on the family farm growing crops and raising his livestock the produce of which he would take to a nearby town and sell to the inhabitants.

On some occasions he would spend some time and money here and there with friends he had made during his life.

It was during one of these gatherings of friends that Lorenz learned of the Jedi fighting on Geonosis and that a fleet of triangular vessels had been seen moving to the planet.

Lorenz was never a racial biased individual he held to the beliefs of his great ancestor Mandalor the first, that anyone who swore the creed and the code of honour of Mandalor the First then any race or culture may call themselves Mandalorian.

Clone Wars:

Not long after the battle of Geonosis, with the Separatists seizing control of major hyperspace lanes between the Expanse Region and the Outer rim. Lorenz recognised that conflict would likely come to the small world.

His fears proved right when a Clan Ro-Oak joined the Separatists and aided their invasion of Maresk. Lorenz organised a resistance movement from the survivors of a massacre performed by Clan Ro-Oak to instil fear and terror in any opposition and pressure an early surrender.

This resistance grew swiftly as many of the citizens of the colony refused to bow to the Separatist domination of their home. The Resistance lead by the newly proclaimed Lorenz as the Heir of Mandalor fought a strategic campaign of guerrilla warfare, performing hit and run attacks against Separatist droids but primarily against economic targets and locations constructed by the Separatists, such as Droid factories, mines, foundries and other such locations.

Lorenz also sent out teams of his resistance fighters to other worlds under occupation within nearby systems as well as Separatist worlds to spread the efforts further afield. He also spread messages via pirate transmissions calling on the people of the galaxy to resist the brutality of the Confederacy and that they should believe in their belief of fighting for freedom when they are willing to brutally subjugate those that don't join them.

He also sent out message in the form of markers, small pieces of metal that bore the mark of betrayal, an ancient marking that was sent to those who betrayed Mandalor the First and the oaths they had sworn. Ignored on pain of death, the majority of such markers were upheld, with many surrendering to the resistance out of fear of them.

Lorenz eventually invited an alliance with the Galactic Republic, most notably the Jedi order. Informing them of a treaty he wished to establish between his Resistance and the Jedi council. If the Jedi and the Republic provide his resistance with hyperspace capable fighters and bombers then his resistance and its intelligence ring would provide aid to the Republic campaigns.

After a lengthy discussion the treaty was rectified and the Republic provided the Resistance with the weapons they needed to liberate Maresk which in turn sparked uprisings across the nearby systems which drove out the Separatists from the sector entirely. Lorenz then declared the Union of Mandoa to the Galaxy, a democratic galactic government that would be independent of both the Confederacy of Independent systems and the Galactic Republic.

However the Union signed an official military alliance with the Republic for the duration of the Clone Wars.

After the liberation, Lorenz lead various campaigns for the Union against the Separatists alongside the Republic and Jedi, Including the liberation of Ryloth, the Battle of Sullust, the Second Battle of Geonosis, the mission to free master Even Piell, The Second Battle of Sullust and various others. As well as leading his own campaigns against Confederate controlled worlds in systems neighbouring the Union.

During this time he began to have a romantic relationship with one of his closest friends, a Togruta called Eleira. And the two would eventually have a daughter who they called Merissa after Lorenz's sister who had  been killed during the Separatist invasion of Maresk.

Lorenz also started a new breed of warriors, known as the Knights of Mandalor, where those who had proven themselves for their loyalty, tenacity, experience, bravery and ability were granted the right to join. These Knights would serve as both Special forces of the Union, but also as Agents for the Union Intelligence, the Majority of the Knights were people who Lorenz trusted the most and knew had earned the right to be a knight. These included all of the Lieutenants that had aided him during the days of the Resistance and his closest friends.

To add to the strength of the Legend around Lorenz as the Heir of Mandalor, with the official creation of the knights of Mandalor, Lorenz created a series of tests that would determine whether an individual was worthy of the role, these tests known as the trials would judge an individuals character, from their fears, their hatred, their compassion and even their souls. Those who came through the trials were granted to a secret that very few knew off.

Lorenz would grant those who passed the trials and were knighted the right to craft their own Mandalorian armour from a metal only found on Maresk and the planets around it, a metal was second only to pure Beskar, but just like Beskar was resistant to most blaster fire and lightsaber.

Age of the Empire:

In the aftermath of Order 66 and the subsequent Jedi Purge as well as the Birth of the Galactic Empire, The Union of Mandoa declared that since the war was officially over, then the Military Alliance between the Union and the successor to the Republic the Galactic Empire was now null and void. Thus the Empire was not allowed to move troops or ships through Union space without the authority of the Unions leadership.

At first Palpatine recognised this and made a public declaration that the Empire shall uphold and respect the Sovereignty of the Union. But Lorenz knew that this was not going to last, for this reason he kept a close eye on the growing empire and its growing militancy. He also watched carefully the growing resistance against the Empire, keeping close tabs on them and with permission of the Union clandestinely provide support to those who resisted the Empire whether directly or secretly.

Lorenz also ensured that a series of protocols were put into effect among the Union Fleet and army, that in the event of war between the Union and the Empire the officers and soldiers knew exactly what to do if a certain order was given.

Eventually the Empire however did invade with full force, with the excuse being that the Union had secretly been hiding enemies of the Empire including surviving Jedi. Which they had done, but not within the Borders of the Union, instead they had tried to help Jedi survivors find safety within the outer rim or in wild space.

The Fight between the Empire and Union was one sided against the Mandoa despite the firm efforts of the fleet and army to hold the worlds that supported them. The Union finally surrendered to Moff Tarkin the mastermind behind the Invasion, Tarkin ordered the Union high council to issue Protocol 1.18 which Tarkin believed meant for the Fleet and Army to stand down and surrender to the Empire, however what he didn't know was that Lorenz and the Union used 1.18 as a false flag, instead of surrendering the surviving ships and armies were to go into hiding and gatherer their strength.

Lorenz himself went into hiding with his daughter Merissa after the woman he loved Eleira was captured and taken to prison. He also ordered the Knights of Mandalor to scatter and begin the creation of a new network of sleeper cells across the Galaxy, many returned to the homeworlds of their species and link up with already existing resistance or rebel factions.

Others would start entirely new groups and or recruit the disenfranchised to the cause of Lorenz Merrick the Heir of Mandalor.

Lorenz himself would disappear along with his daughter a contingent of followers into outer rim where they found a location that could only be found by those who held the original teachings of Mandalor the First. This world was known to them as Abyss after the path that leads to it being empty, from Abyss Lorenz would operate his group as a secret hidden sanctuary but whenever they returned to the Galaxy they would take on a different identity, they would appear for the most part to be a band of wandering mercenaries.

Using this cover they would work to aid those not wanting to live under the Empire as well as secret supplies and munitions to those that actively resisted.

The Early Rebellion:

When word however began to spread of insurgency beginning against the Empire, groups such as the Ghorman Front, Separatists, Sectorists, Saw Gerrara, Anto Kreegar and so on. He decided to offer some semblance of support in secret at least, this would usually consist of them passing on supplies and equipment to rebel groups and networks. But at all costs any and all links to them as Mandalorians was concealed.

As well as this he played on the Imperials need for power and glory, so when required he had two of his best agents infiltrate and perform actions that would discredit Imperial officials even perform assassinations that could only be linked to them. His plan was to make it so only those that were the most glory seeking, most backstabbing and above all most predictable grew into positions of power.

His primary operative was an Mandalorian Assassin known only as the Hidden One.

Eventually however rebellions began to grow in strength and numbers, this was what Lorenz was waiting for.

He sent out agents across the Galaxy to meet up with the various Knights of Mandalor that were still in hiding across Imperial space, they were to give the word for the "Remnants" to amass again and join him in taking the fight to the Empire.

The Remnant:

Although Lorenz would inform the growing Rebel network headed by Bail Organa and Mon Mothma that he would support their efforts to bring about the end of the Empire, But he made clear that his network, fleets and army of followers would not directly join the collective rebellion they were constructing.

Instead Lorenz organised a separate organisation, first he sent out messengers to all those who were of the knights of Mandalor demanding they return with those who had joined them and honour the call to war once again. All answered, now with an army and a vast fleet of ships not as many as the Empire but more powerful than those of the growing rebellion, Lorenz declared a that the time for a Crusade had come, one lead not by Lorenz Merrick but instead by Lor, Manda'Lor. He would lead the Crusade from the front when possible, wearing the same armour of pure Beskar that Mandalor the first wore, as well as the same Mask and even the cloak that Mandalor the first once wore ceremonially.

Their strategy was brutal, destructive and precise, instead of the Rebellions techniques of small hit and run attacks and targeted missions. The newly crowned Manda'Lor orchestrated dozens of major assaults. Soon the Empire and the Rebellion began to take notice that several isolated Imperial Garrisons, outposts and fleets had gone missing. When the Empire investigated they found the bases either destroyed or deserted with the bodies of those who once were the troopers guarding it scattered across the base.

Mandalor lead all these assaults with his aim of stretching the empire thin, by destroying  anything the Empire built, For each fleet destroyed the Empire would have to replace them, for Each facility destroyed the Empire would need to rebuild it which wastes resources. For every Garrison lost, the Empire would need to move troops around and regain control over the planet they had lost.

Lorenz also reissued the mark of Betrayal and death to all those who supported the Empires reign across the Galaxy regardless whether they were in what was Union space or not. Soon Imperial Governors, politicians, senators, Imperial Officers and ISB agents were receiving these threats and many were terrified after many believed the threats would be upheld.

These brutal methods did mean that at times Lorenz and the Crusaders or the Remnant as the Empire referred to them as came to blows with the mainstream rebellion especially Mon Mothma, who regarded Lorenz's actions just as atrocious as the Empires. Lorenz would respond however asking how many victories had the Rebellion achieved how many significant successes had they achieved.  He even questioned the fact the rebellions leadership often refused to admit war had begun, he even barged in on a meeting of the Rebellions council, deeming them all to be cowards for thinking that their talking was doing something good, when they made clear that their allies in the Senate hoped for a peaceful resolution to avoid war.

Lorenz took offense, declaring out in front of the entire rebellion "What did the Senate do when the Empire invaded the Union? What did the Senate do when the Empire destroyed a hospital filled with unarmed women and children? What did the Senate do when Palpatine created the Empire?" To which he started Clapping his hands, a reminder to all of the Rebellion that the Senate they believed in had supported the creation of the system they were now fighting.

For much of the War, Lorenz constantly shifted between several ships and a single safe haven the Remnant held secret. When in engaging the Imperials in space Lorenz lead the battle from the Bridge of his Flagship the "Vengeance", an advanced Kandosii class Dreadnaught that was the most advanced ship in the Remnant fleet, with the firepower to defeat even star destroyers of the empire. When co-ordinating the Remnant he operated from the mobile base of operations aboard the "Fortress" a retrofitted Lucrehulk class battleship which served as the main barracks and training facility for the Crusader ground forces as well as their primary means of transport.

But when spending time with his daughter, he would return to the place where he hid away for many years in Wild space which now served as a secret base for the Remnant where those who were tired or wounded could recuperate.

After the War

Following the victory of the New Republic, Mandalor would retreat once again into the Outer Rim alongside his followers, when he was asked where he was going, that if he intended to return to Mandalore and reclaim it for his family.

He declined to Answer, but when news spread that the Mandalorians had retaken their homeworld, word spread that a fleet of ships baring the Mandalorian Crest were flying in its direction.

 Its intentions unknown?

Crime Lord of Ravcor

The planet of Ravcor is known throughout the galaxy for its criminality, since the days of the Old Republic, the planet has never been dominated by any outsider.

From the Republic, to the Sith Empire to the Galactic Empire, none have ever managed to ensure that Ravcor was brought to heel. Any attempt at it was met not with resistance but with concentrated difficulties, taxes would not be paid, criminal elements would harass all shipping in the sector, the dirty secrets of important prominent would be released to the public.

Even during the days of the Galactic Empire, the Imperials kept their distance, as long as the planets crime enterprise did not interfere with Imperial matters then the Empire kept well away. It was one of the few places in the galaxy where Stormtroopers were not seen patrolling the streets or Star Destroyers in orbit.

The only time when there wasn't any trouble around Ravcor was when it was a free and independent world. Proof was during the reign of the Lord of Ravcor, Antor Moran a crime lord that had connections to every syndicate, boss, gang and pirate group throughout the galaxy.

Coming from the harsh and unforgiving world of Hellion, where life even in current age of technology was a daily struggle for survival. Moran was forged into a strong imposing figure by his peoples customs which weeded out weaknesses like they were the tiniest bacteria. This made him strong in both physically but also mentally, some say that  a Hellion could wrestle a Wookiee to the ground and this was only matched by their mindful self. Some say a Hellions mind can consciously ignore even the extreme levels of pain, add on the fact that they can live for near 400 years at the oldest then the Hellion are a fierce species of humanoids.

Moran's life is a bit of mystery as the Hellion are reclusive with the majority travelling the galaxy serving as mercenaries, bounty hunters and hired guns for criminal syndicates. Its suspected that Moran followed this direction, but at some point he came to end up on Ravcor which before his arrival was a world riddled with criminal drama and infighting, up until he actively seized power the role of Lord of Ravcor was without any real influence as they had no real power over the criminal groups operating on the world. That Changed with Moran, when he seized power in a bloody coup, he instituted several changes.

Under him Ravcor became a hub for all underworld businesses, though of course there were some rules.

First among them was that all businesses on Ravcor must never come to blows, both parties must leave satisfied. This rule meant that there was to be no unnecessary violence on the planet, an individual can make a claim for a grievance and if permitted may call their opponent out for a duel or fight. But assassins and bounty hunters who come to the planet were not allowed to conduct any violence in the pursuit of their targets unless granted permission to do so by the Lord of Ravcor, a bounty could only be captured alive and an assassin was not permitted to kill while on the planet.

All trade was allowed in the Ravor Bazaar, whether it be information, tech, spice, stolen goods, illegal produce, weapons or even slaves. However any who wished to sell in the Bazaar had to pay a tariff on all goods they sold, this tax was put into maintaining of the planets infrastructure and well being. So despite the fact the planet was technically controlled by a criminal overlord the standard of living was well off for those who lived there. As well as this all trade must be made with agreeable forms of payment for both sides, whilst Credits were permitted and often used, a seller could refuse to accept them if they so desired but must also honour the wishes of the buyer.

Ravcor was not a sole controlled planet, Moran made that clear, he granted all criminal gangs, syndicates and underworld figures to establish themselves on Ravcor. But he did make clear that there was to be no fighting for territory or domination of certain areas of business excluding the protection racket which was strictly Morans, as well as this all were to pay tribute to him for permission to do business on his planet. And since Ravcor was by default the Underworlds prime market for everything, they call came, the Hutts Clans had some dealings on Ravcor, the Black Sun set up an base on the planet, the Pyke Syndicate set up a branch of their operations there even the Zygerrian slave empire set up a branch to flock their wares.

Any who violated this law faced heavy penalties, often this meant finding a Defiler standing above them when they awoke before a blade was driven into their chest or a blaster fired. The Defilers of Ravcor were known for their fierce loyalty to Moran and would be trained constantly in all forms of work required for the Crime Lord of Ravcor. Most of the time this involved ensuring that those who challenged his rule of the planet or his business interests were dealt with. Though they were sent out to also find and deal with those that violated the most profound laws of Ravcor. But on occasions they would be dispatched out into the wider galaxy to solidify his position in the criminal underworld.

Whether that be:

-Sabotaging the efforts of his enemies or law enforcement

-Extending his Racketeering efforts on populated worlds

-Hiring mercenaries into his employ

-Solidifying control of the black market

-Deal with those not paying tribute

Even those who were not defilers were fiercely loyal to Moran, his guards and foot soldiers were known to refuse any bribe or offer of favours. Such can to be shown when the Pyke Syndicates attempted to seize power from Moran after he made clear that he had placed a tariff on the selling and transporting of Spice on Ravcor. Despite the fact that the Pykes had numerical advantage, they were soundly defeated and driven Ravcor for years.

Moran only allowed them to return when they paid a fine for the attempt as well as reimbursed all the shop, businesses and residents who had suffered damage during their attack.

Following this attack, other large and powerful syndicates would keep good relations with the Crime Lord of Ravcor, mostly to ensure that their continued interests on the planet were not encumbered or put into difficulty, to this day no one knows how Moran has obtained such a large and fierce force of fighters with unquestioning loyalty. This has lead to rumours that they are brainwashed into what they are during their training, others say that all the Defilers and Enforcers in his service are Hellions like him and as such they are determined to remain loyal.

Slavery on Ravcor was permitted as it was with many worlds controlled by criminal elements, but with Ravcor there was a difference. In other parts of the galaxy a slave was a slave until either freed or dies. Under the laws of Ravcor though any slave working on the planet can earn their freedom through work, in essence by working to a certain regard they can earn "Credit" that can either be put towards goods or can be given to their master. Once the Slave has given their masters the exact price in which they were purchased for plus 10%, then they will be given their freedom by default as they have worked to the point that their master has earned back what he bought them with interest.

Even then there were rules in regards of the slaves treatment, harsh punishments were restricted to the worst cases. A slave could not be punished for poor quality work, nor could they be forced to work longer than was required of them. Meaning the master could not change the price of their freedom, those who were born of a slave were not slaves in their own right but free. And no slave could not be forcibly moved off planet for work without documentation of approval by the Ravcor Slave Guild.

With these various laws in place of Ravcor, life was abundant as people found it easy not only to find work that paid well, but knew exactly that the taxes, tariffs or tributes that they paid to the Lord of Ravcor was much better and cheaper than paying the taxes placed upon them by the galactic powers.

So for Moran himself, life was good much different from his previous life with his true species, the Hellion. Moran actually style his throne room to mirror the throne rooms of his people royalty, within this great hall was obviously his seat of power, where he would spend much of his time. But forth and beneath it was a hall of immeasurable size where feasts worthy of emperors were held with various visitors. The finest drinks were served in quantities that made it seem that it flowed like water from the stocks and stores, the most exotic and beautiful dancers would perform to the delight of all present whilst the music played.

During the time of the Galactic Empire, Ravcor was officially a part of the Empire, when the Moff of the Sector came to demand that Moran pledge himself to the Emperor. He laughed before saying "You could easily take this throne.... and this world... but keeping it is another matter". So a bargin was struck, officially the planet would be a part of the Empire, but in exchange for no imperial presence, Moran would pay tribute to the Emperor and his efforts.
